How can I check out and return items at the Library?

Returns

On-campus

Drop off items at the book return on the Library Circle.

If the item(s) or box is too large, drop it off at the Checkout Desk (just inside the main entrance). Check out the Library Hours page to see when we're open.

Off-campus

Mail it to us. You will be responsible for shipping costs.
Return books to other CSU Campus Libraries (they will forward books to us). If you are returning equipment or kits, please contact us at libcirculation@humboldt.edu

Renewals

You can renew most items to avoid late fees and other fines. You can renew online or learn more about our policies on the Borrow & Renew FAQ page.

From your online account, you can see what items you currently have checked out, what their due dates are, and you can renew them, if eligible.
