How long does it take to obtain an item requested through Resource Sharing?
A CSUB patron's request will be processed as quickly as possible. Once the request leaves CSUB, the lending library receives the request and then processes it. Some lending libraries provide materials more rapidly than others. Obscure items may take much longer to locate and process.
Approximate arrival times based on resource type:
- Physical resources (e.g. book, DVD, government document) will fulfilled based on the response time of the lending institution.
- Requests for electronic items such as articles within the CSU system have a 24 hour turn around time if the request is made during regular business hours. Requests for electronic items that are requested outside of the CSU system can take longer.
