How do I set up an alumni account?

The library is happy to extend alumni accounts to alumni who live in the San Luis Obispo area. To get started contact the Cal Poly Alumni office to get your official alumni number, then email circulation@calpoly.edu to arrange for the next steps to complete the process.
What does an Alumni library account include? When the integration with Maritime is complete in early July 2026 alumni in the Solano area will also be able to get alumni accounts. At that point, patrons with alumni accounts will be able to borrow up to 10 physical items (e.g., books, DVDs) at a time from either the San Luis Obispo or Solano campus for in-person pickup. Alumni accounts do not include Interlibrary Loan requests or remote access to databases. To access databases, alumni - with no account necessary, as with other members of the community - can come to the library premises during main service hours, log on to guest wireless. and access most databases.
