How do I find foreign language books?

Answer

Use the Library’s OneSearch to find the books you need:

  1. Perform an initial search by simply typing one or a few keywords. For example, you can type an exact book title, subject words, or an author's name.

  2. Sign in on the results page to see complete results and be able to request items, save results, and more. This login step applies to CPP students and employees who can login with their current BroncoName and Password.

  3. Narrow your OneSearch results to books. Look for the heading "RESOURCE TYPE" on the left side of the results page, then click on the BOOKS filter below that heading.

  4. Further narrow the OneSearch results to a desired language. Look for the heading "LANGUAGE" on the left side of the results page. Click on the heading to reveal a list of available language options. Click on a desired language from the list.

Browsing by LC Classification:

If you wish and have more time, you can physically browse call number areas in the library that cover national literatures and language studies. This approach may yield some books in the appropriate foreign languages. However, the following call number ranges are approximate.
