How can I find out if the library has a textbook I need?
Answer
The Library does not make an effort to collect textbooks used here on campus. There are two things you can do to look for a textbook in the library:
1. Do a book search in OneSearch to see if the book is in our regular collection. You will need to know the Title or the Author (both first and last names) of the book so that you can do a "Title" or "Author" search for it in the regular collection. If you do not know the title of the textbook, The Bronco Bookstore's website has a searchable database of current quarter textbooks (pretend that you are going to buy a textbook). The database gives the title and the author's last name. With that information, you can then do a a title search in OneSearch to see if we have the book.
2. Look in Course Reserves on the Library Homepage to see if an instructor has placed one of his or her copies of it on Reserve. Search by your course name (such as CHM 100, PHY 132 or MU 104) or by your instructor name to see if a copy is available at Reserves.
